The war crimes tribunal has issued Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Quader Molla’s death warrant.

Bongo-News.com: Deputy Registrar of the International Crimes Tribunal Arunav Chakrabarty took the document wrapped in traditional red cloth to the prison authorities in the afternoon. The tribunal’s registrar AKM Nasir Uddin told reporters on Sunday that the warrant to execute Quader Molla’s death sentence had been sent to jail clearing the way for Quader Molla’s execution pending his appeal for a presidential clemency. Molla’s lawyers, however, hold that there is a provision to review the Supreme Court’s ruling, which raised his sentence from a life term — given by the war crimes tribunal — to a death sentence.
